The Parents Leadership Council is a community of parents who are actively engaged in their students' experiences at OWU. Members share the Ohio Wesleyan experience by connecting with students and parents, interacting with faculty and staff, and experiencing what makes being a Bishop so special.

Members have the opportunity to:

• Participate in small group meetings with University Leadership, Faculty, and Staff.
• Engage with other parents and families during Homecoming & Family Weekend, regional receptions, and other special events.
• Welcome new families, host and attend University events, and advocate for parent & family philanthropy.
• Receive invitations to join OWU President for on- and off-campus events through the year.
• Network with other parent & family volunteers.
• Receive regular updates sharing highlights of campus life and upcoming events as well as stories of how parent philanthropy impacts the daily experience of our students.

As members of the council, parents are asked to:

• Lead the gift giving effort through annual contributions to the Parents Fund/Annual Giving Program with a leadership gift of $1,842 or more.
• Become ambassadors and representatives of the university at educational and social activities.
• Foster relationships with current and prospective parents and families.
• Welcome new families to the OWU community and mentor new and current parents & families.
• Attend meetings two times a year either in person or virtually.
• Promote OWU within their spheres of influence.
• Expand the networks available to OWU students and alumni.
