OWU’s Eric Gnezda to perform during TEDxColumbus 2015
When Ohio Wesleyan’s Eric Gnezda takes to the Capitol Theatre stage Nov. 20 in Columbus, the award-winning songwriter, Emmy-nominated journalist, and college educator will be performing before a sold-out audience.
But those who don’t yet have tickets for the seventh annual event, titled “Disruption,” are invited to watch Gnezda, a 1979 OWU graduate, and his fellow speakers and performers via a free webstream at Whitehall-Yearling High School’s Walter Armes Learning Center, 675 S. Yearling Road.
Gnezda, a lecturer in speech at OWU for the past decade, is also the creator and host of the WOSU-TV show, “,” highlighting accomplished singer-songwriters. The show is broadcast at 12:30 a.m. Sundays and is available anytime .
Gnezda’s national media credits include Entertainment Tonight, ESPN, PBS, NPR’s “All Things Considered,” Nickelodeon, The Canadian Broadcasting Company, The ABC Radio Network, and Sports Illustrated.
As a journalist, he earned an Emmy nomination for a retrospective on the Munich Olympic massacre, which he produced for American television.
Gnezda holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in creative writing from the Rainier Writing Workshop. Read more about or learn more about .
