Book a tour
Experiencing the College first-hand is a key part of the decision to send a son to ³Ô¹ÏÍø, and prospective families have many opportunities to do so with tours held twice a term each year. Families are taken throughout the historic Hunters Hill campus to see the extensive boarding, learning, sports and co-curricular facilities. On the way they witness classes taking place, students interacting with one another, and various activities in full swing. The tours are also an opportunity for families, whether interested in day or boarding options, to speak with College staff and have their questions answered.
Places are limited so early booking is advised. Guests are asked to register for the tour at 9.45am in the Farrell Auditorium, located behind Reception at the bottom of the main classroom block. The tours run for approximately an hour and a half.

Information evenings
An important early step on a family’s ³Ô¹ÏÍø journey is to attend an information evening, where parents learn about all aspects of the College and its academic, co-curricular and sports programs. It is also where they can learn the answers to such key parental questions as, does ³Ô¹ÏÍø suit our family’s needs? Does it provide an environment for our sons to thrive? Will it help us in our goal of raising well-rounded, well-adjusted, fine young men, ready to take life on with purpose, determination and joie de vivre?
The evenings, held twice a year, are also an opportunity to meet the Headmaster, Heads of Departments and other senior staff, as well as some of the College’s current Year 7 students.
They start in the Farrell Auditorium on the Hunter Hills campus, accessible via the Ryde Road, Mark Street and Gladesville Road gates. A light supper following the one-hour presentation is a chance to meet other parents and ask questions of staff and students.

Speak with the Admissions team
For enrolment enquiries, call the Admissions team on 02 9816 0922 or email admissions@joeys.org. They can answer your questions about the steps required to apply for enrolment as a boarder or day student at St Joseph’s College, and what you can expect after your application is lodged. Otherwise, as your first point of contact, you can fill out a general enrolment enquiry form here and the Admissions team will be in touch.
Please note that processing of applications for Year 7 begins when the cohort is towards the end of Year 4. For applications to enter the College in Years 8 to 12, Â processing takes place in the year prior. Before then, applicants are unlikely to be contacted by the College except to be invited to information nights, school tours, country visits and other relevant events for prospective families.
Before you speak with the Admissions team, it is useful to know the following:
-
Applications are accepted from parents/guardians in Australia and from overseas who agree to uphold the aims of the College and who complete the required documentation.
-
Applications are welcomed from both Catholic families and families who may not be Catholic but nevertheless identify with and support the aims of education within a Catholic school.
-
In making enrolment decisions, the College takes into account those cases where the applicant is the sibling of an enrolled student, or the son of an Old Boy of the College. Applicants previously enrolled at another Marist school will also be favourably considered.
-
The College is proud of its strong affinity with rural NSW and country applications, particularly those from families in isolated situations, are positively encouraged.
