All candidates must prepare:

1. Snare Drum (required): Prepare a solo from a state contest list (i.e. OMEA solo and ensemble list) or etude from any major snare drum methodology (Cirone, Delecluse, Peters, etc.). Sight reading and demonstration of basic rudiments may also be asked.
2. Mallet Percussion (required): Prepare a solo from a state contest list (i.e. OMEA solo and ensemble list) or any literature that you feel showcases your abilities on marimba, vibraphone, xylophone, or glockenspiel. Sight reading and demonstration of scales may also be asked.
3. Timpani: Prepare to sing intervals and tune pitches as requested. Auditioning with a timpani solo is optional for incoming students.
