In this program, students complete the first two years of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at Ohio Wesleyan. When these specific prerequisite course requirements are met, students may complete their BSN at Mount Carmel College of Nursing in five semesters.

Course Requirements

Students in the Advanced Placement Program complete two years of study at OWU before transferring to Mt. Carmel. The courses listed below are prerequisites for admission to Mt. Carmel . (Note: Those courses marked with an asterisk(*) are recommended but not required for admission to Mt. Carmel. These courses will substitute for MCCN courses and will ease scheduling pressure during the 13- or 18-month SDAP program. Please contact the Pre-Health Advisor with questions.)

BIOL 329: Human Anatomy (Note: BIOL 329 is the preferred course to be paired with BIOL 325. However, BIOL 251: Human Anatomy and Physiology may be substituted with prior approval from the Pre-Health Advisor.)

MCCN Admission Requirements

Students who complete the pre-nursing curriculum requirements at OWU with a minimum of "C" in all transfer course work, and who have achieved a minimum of 3.0 cumulative grade point average at OWU, will automatically be accepted into MCCN's Advanced Placement Program.
