Founded in 1985, The Woltemade Center seeks to enhance teaching, learning, research and community service at ³Ô¹ÏÍø beyond the walls of the traditional classroom. The Woltemade Center is housed within the Economics and Business Department which features top of the line education in the fields of: economics, business administration, finance, marketing, management, entrepreneurship, accounting, and international business.

Mission statement

The Woltemade Center for Economics, Business and Entrepreneurship’s mission is to enhance academic programs and provide real world opportunities to create future generations of business and world leaders.

The Woltemade Center provides unique opportunities to students within the Economics and Business Department and across all campus majors and disciplines, serving as a catalyst in the development of interdisciplinary programs, across the university.

In developing programs and activities, The Woltemade Center uses criteria that significantly reflect the aims of ³Ô¹ÏÍø: stimulation of faculty and student scholarship related to teaching and learning; the integration of theoretical and practical knowledge; the prominence of values and ethics in liberal learning; the importance of international education; and the significance of service to community and society.

By strengthening the opportunities available to students, the Economics and Business Department, interdisciplinary work, and community relations, The Woltemade Center helps ³Ô¹ÏÍø attract and retain students, raise financial and other resources, and generate appropriate publicity.
