Joseph & Edith Vogel Lecture

The Joseph & Edith Vogel Lecture was established in 1985 through a generous gift from Dr. Ezra F. Vogel, now deceased.  Ezra Vogel, Ph.D. was a native of Delaware, Ohio, a 1950 Ohio Wesleyan distinguished graduate, a retired professor of East Asian Studies at Harvard University, and author of the critically acclaimed book, "Deng Xiaoping and the Transformation of China."  The lecture is named in honor of his parents and the lecture is "to promote among Ohio Wesleyan faculty, staff, and students, better understanding of Delaware and the surrounding area."
