Michele McMahon Nobel has worked in the field of special education for over 25 years as an advocate, teacher, and professor. She started her career as a public school teacher in Central Ohio teaching K-8 students with disabilities in inclusive and self-contained classrooms. After earning her Ph.D. from The Ohio State University in Applied Behavior Analysis and Special Education, she shifted her focus to academia and has prepared and supervised pre-service Intervention Specialists since 2005. She has published in peer-reviewed journals and has presented at regional, national, and international conferences. Her research interests include peer-mediated interventions for students with exceptionalities, educational technology, and educator preparation, particularly regarding trauma-informed education, equity, and developing antiracist educators.
